We designed the Big Student with high school or college students in mind, who carry a hefty number of books, let alone all the bits and bobs from tech and sports gear to pens and snacks. Naturally, the Big Student had to have space, and it needed pockets… lots of them.
So, what did we do exactly? Well, we started with the main body of course. We built in a dedicated compartment complete with padding to give a 15” laptop full protection. On top of that, the Big Student has not only one, but two extra main compartment pockets to carry the bulk of the school day.
Remember our classic front pouch? We added extra room to that as well, with more pockets to quickly stash away all those important little supplies. Our design team also thought to put a spin on our classic side H2O pocket, opting for a netted elastic to fit even the thickest of bottles, because the school day surely makes for thirsty work.
As for the Big Student, it’s got room, it has style, and more importantly, it packs plenty of comfort to go with it. JanSport made sure to support the back with a full padded rear panel, and also use padded, ergonomic S-Curve shoulder straps to take off a load of pressure so students can go about their day with ease.
